During my six-month volunteer assignment as a music and art teacher in Colombia, I was able to gain fascinating insights into a previously unknown and incredibly diverse culture. The experiences and impressions I gathered during this time inspired me to capture them artistically in the form of sketches and paintings. The resulting pictures convey my very personal voyage of discovery into this foreign culture and show the rich and interwoven identities that I was allowed to get to know.
