cyanotype

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process in which an iron mixture thinly applied to paper is exposed to sunlight. After washing the coated papers in water, they oxidize to form blue shadow images. Through numerous experiments with different exposure times and objects, I discovered my personal interest in the many possibilities of this technique. I am particularly fascinated by the use of light as a compositional tool. The resulting images of translucent glass objects capture their shadow play, creating almost painterly visual worlds.
